Skye's the Limit update

Since Skye's the Limit has last blogged we have undergone some growth within our group. We had a fantastic Leadership presentation. From our introduction to conclusion we feel we presented a thought provoking insight into what is require to become a more adept leader. Zena had a great idea for our activity, in which we asked half the class to look at a picture of a bug. We then asked them to describe the picture to a teammate to draw. The catch is, the person drawing cannot see the picture and the person describing the picture could only use their voice. Also big thanks to Zena for her amazing power point & class handout for the presentation.

We have bought the phone card from Treats for Troops. So an active Californian serving our country in the Middle East will be given a little luxury and will be able to call his family.

Skye's the Limit has undergone our share of hardships this semester in many more ways than we could has anticipated. We have pulled through and are stroner as a team because of it.

The Skye's the Limit

Team Members:
  • Jeni Bray
  • Zena Brenner
  • Chloe Clarke
  • Matt Wallner

Team Goal:

To raise money through a one day, two location bake sale that will go to an active duty member of the armed services who:

  • Is from California
  • Has a poor living situation while serving
  • Has a family

As mentioned, we will raise the money with two substantial bake sales. One in Aptos, possibly at Delux foods. The other at Shopper's Corner in Santa Cruz. Both sales will be on the same day. Money raised will be used to buy that soldier a gift from Treats For Troops, http://www.treatsfortroops.com/, consisting of edible items and, most importantly, a phone card, so the soldier can call his family.

Team Rules:

  • Call or text when you are unable to make it to class
  • Be studious
